Revised NEVI Program Guidance

Earlier this month, the US Department of Transportation announced its revised guidelines for the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program. Started in 2021, the NEVI program provides funding to states to build out electric vehicle infrastructure along designated roadways. A summary of changes from the DOT announcement states that the the revised guidelines for the program simplifies the state plan approval process, provides states with flexibility to determine distance between stations and minimizes some of the content that was required in the original guidelines. To learn more about the updated guidelines for the NEVI program visit the Federal Highway Administration website.
