Clean Cities and Communities National Workshop
CC&C coalition directors and staff at the 2026 National Workshop
Our coalition traveled to Kansas City, Missouri at the start of this month to attend the 2026 Clean Cities and Communities (CC&C) National Workshop. The three day workshop brought together coalition directors and staff from all across the country. Coalitions were able to reconnect with each other, welcome new coalitions and gain skills and strategies for advancing the CC&C mission. The workshop featured peer sharing sessions, discussions with Department of Energy and National Lab staff and a tour of a local EV manufacturing company, Orange EV. It was a great event and we came away with new knowledge, ideas and connections that we can use to further our impact here in Arizona.
Funding Opportunities
2026 National DEra Funding announced
The EPA has announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity for the 2026 National Diesel Emission Reduction Act (DERA). This program provides funding assistance to accelerate the upgrade, retrofit, and turnover of legacy diesel fleets. Eligible activities include the retrofit or replacement of existing diesel engines, vehicles and equipment with EPA and California Air Resources Board (CARB) certified engine configurations and verified retrofit and idle reduction technologies. The EPA expects to award approximately $180 million under this Notice of Funding Opportunity.
Applications due Friday, January 22, 2027.
PERC’s Propane Autogas Research Program
With the Propane Education and Research Council’s Propane Autogas Research Program, qualified fleets can receive $7,500 for up to five eligible propane autogas vehicles, plus up to $10,000 for refueling site prep. In return, fleets put the vehicles into regular operation and share performance data quarterly for one year. See program overview HERE.

Green Transportation Summit and Expo- November 16-19 2026
The Green Transportation Summit & Expo (GTSE) is officially merging with RE+ 26, the largest clean energy event in North America. This landmark event will take place November 16–19, 2026, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
